Here is another software that might upset your current work flow, the recently launched Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.0. This new RAW converter is huge, powerful and versatile, a new tool that could become the 'industrial standard' for serious photographers.
An excellent in-depth review by Uwe Steinmueller you can find here.
It's not my intention to elaborate much further, just to draw your attention to this new powerful tool, it's definitely worth exploring. There is just one point I would like to mention where I disagree with Uwe Steinmueller and that is regarding the "QuickDevelop" panel. I find the 'quick (dirty :-) ?) corrections' using 'AutoTone' very valuable. It is a good starting point that gives such excellent and quick results, further tweaking can be done in the Develope module.
At a later point I would like report about some tests I did with Lightroom, Photoshop, RawShooter and Nikon NX.
